everyone agrees one of the main issues that needs to be
debated is how to reform our current tax code to strengthen America's
Economic Health and the way we collect revenue to pay for the constitutional, and proper functioning of government. The
heart and soul of our economic problems is the tax code.
Designed to confuse
and intimidate the average American, it is
65,000-plus pages of confusing
language, terms and loopholes
that make sense to no one. Nobody has ever
read the entire
tax code, let alone been able to understand it.
The Tax Code has done more to destroy small businesses and
jobs in this
country than any other factor.
Americans are forced to spend hundreds of billions of dollars each
year
preparing tax returns. Afterwards, the government spends
billions more
auditing these tax returns, in the hopes of proving
that you paid less than
you should have.
Does this make any sense? Designed to promote class warfare, the code gives the power
to special
interests and lobbyists. It allows Congress to play favorites,
to pick the
winners and the losers, while dictating how you spend YOUR money.

A Prayer For Our Nation
'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
